Who is TBS-OHIO?

"Toshiba Business Solutions-Ohio was originally founded in 1970 as Copier Sales, Inc. of Akron, Ohio by Gary Miller. Copier Sales, Inc. offered a host of office equipment products and services to Business to Business clients throughout Northeast Ohio and quickly earned a reputation as a "premier" service provider after the sale. As technology evolved in the 1980's, Copier Sales, Inc. established a partnership with Toshiba to market, sell, and service its office imaging equipment as an authorized dealer for the Akron area. The partnership flourished for more than two decades and the company names became synonymous with corporate America in the area.

In the mid 90's both Scott Baldwin and Bill Salm, Jr. joined the organization as managing principals and opened a Cleveland, Ohio office to better serve this strategic marketplace. Both Copier Sales, Inc. and ImagePro, Ltd. worked in unison to deliver office imaging technology to over 10,000 clients in Northeast Ohio by 2007 and were recognized locally by their business peers as one of the 100 fastest growing privately owned companies in the area.

Its relationship with Toshiba continued to flourish and culminated in the acquisition of these two fine companies on December 4, 2007. Our addition to the Toshiba Family as a "core" company assures distribution of their industry popular office imaging technology throughout Northeast Ohio with growth throughout the entire state. Both Scott Baldwin and Bill Salm, Jr. remain with this Toshiba owned subsidiary, to ensure its stability is realized as Toshiba's presence becomes more prominent in Ohio."

With our newest offices, COPI now operates 27 offices in six states with over 600 employees. Our newly combined annual revenues are now $106 million and growing! Please join us in welcoming our newest VP/GM Sonny Kumar, and all the employees of TBS Ohio to the COPI family of businesses.
